Legislative issues are the centerpiece of ACWA's agenda. True to its mission, ACWA is active in the state legislative arena to advocate for its members on laws and policies that affect them. The association takes positions on hundreds of bills every year, and maintains an active grassroots outreach program to keep its members aware and engaged in the legislative process. The State Legislative Department along with the State Legislative Committee formulates the association's state legislative priorities, tracks water legislation and keeps members up to date via legislative alerts, online bill services, and through the ACWA Web site.
