The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) appreciates the opportunity to provide public comments regarding the Department of Conservation’s (DOC) Draft 2022 Multibenefit Land Repurposing Program (MLRP) Guidelines (Draft Guidelines). ACWA represents over 460 public water agencies that deliver over 90% of the water used for residential, agricultural and commercial purposes in California. ACWA is committed to working with the State and with urban and agricultural water users, growers and landowners, environmental and disadvantaged community interests, and other stakeholders on achieving groundwater sustainability in California.
