ACWA Region 9 Board Meeting and Tour Mission Springs Water District – Nancy Wright Regional Water Reclamation Facility Friday, January 17 9:30 a.m. Check In 10:00 a.m. Nancy Wright Regional Water Reclamation Facility Tour 11:30 a.m. Board Meeting 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Lunch (Working lunch during board meeting) Mission Springs Water District is proud to host a special tour of our new Nancy Wright Regional Water Reclamation Facility. The plant includes a 1.5 million gallon per day Sequence Batch Reactor that will move treated water to nearby percolation ponds. The facility also includes an operations and administration area, a biosolids processing area, a separate chemical storage area, electrical and maintenance areas, and a blower room. The SBR design can be upgraded in the future to produce recycled water, an essential alternative source of water that can be used for various functions such as irrigation, agriculture, industrial processes, and more. The facility and its accompanying projects are almost 100% grant-funded through a $68 million Clean Water State Revolving Fund grant. Join us to see firsthand how these advancements are securing a cleaner, more sustainable future for our community! Following the tour, the Region 9 Board will be discussing Region activities and planning the calendar of events for the year.
