To: Speaker Pelosi, Majority Leader Schumer, Leader McCarthy, and Leader McConnell

Letter excerpt:

The Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) writes to encourage you to maintain bold forest health funding in the ongoing discussion of reconciliation provisions. This $40 billion investment is critical for ecosystem health, protecting access to public lands, and the safety of people living near federal forests. ACWA’s more than 455 public water agency members supply over 90 percent of the water delivered in California for residential, agricultural, and industrial uses. ACWA’s membership relies on the health of our forested watersheds for water quality and supply reliability, as well as climate resiliency.
